Personal data collection

We collect the following personal data:

  • UUID
  • In-app events (e.g., screens opened, buttons clicked, etc.)
  • Email address (optional; user opt-in)

Purpose of data collection

  • Users can decide to leave their email to opt in to receiving educational emails about the app (e.g., email onboarding series). Doing so isn’t mandatory to use the app.
  • We collect UUID and in-app events for product analytics only.

Third-party sharing

We share data with the following third-parties:

  • Segment, a CDP that helps us centralize data and make it easy to send it onwards to other downstream tools.
  • Amplitude, for product analytics.
  • Userlist, for educational emails.

Data retention and security measures

We store raw event data in Segment for six months. This allows us to have six months of historic data in any new tool that we decide to connect to Segment.

We store raw event data in Amplitude for three months. Amplitude retains aggregated, anonymized data so we can analyze long-term trends in our product usage without needing the detailed, raw data.

When opted in, we store a user’s email in Userlist indefinitely, to keep track of subscriptions and unsubscribe events (unless the user requests us to remove all data).

Any other data the user enters in Lifeline (such as session labels or calendar events) are stored locally on the user’s device and never go to any servers of Saent Holding or our partners.

User rights

Users can contact to access, correct, or delete their personal data. Since we’re a small, part-time team, we need 10 to 15 business days to process such requests.
